Why might you speculate in natural gas? Maybe you are considering the potential of an upcoming wave of modern inventions development in the supply of natural gas. Maybe you are basically a patriot that is weary of seeing hoards of U.S. fortunes and jobs being shipped out of the country. A Person could genuinely be fed up with the crazy expenses of filling the tank every time you want to go somewhere. Overall there are many reasons that could spark concern or make someone think "There is a better plan!"
The truth is there is a better way. As a matter of fact there are lots of better ways. In a quest for other choices to oil, other would undoubtably come across solar, wind, coal, biofuels, and a whole host of other ideas. Here we tend to focus on one solution - Natural Gas.
Why now? As mentioned earlier there has recently been a large amount of hi-tech development in the way we procure natural gas. Due to "fracking" technology the supplies of underground natural gas that are now recoverable seem to be endless. This is leading to govt., as well as private sector study into how to best exploit this resource. There is much debate. only one thing is true. Oil will run out (or become incredibly expensive). As a country, the U.S. will be left without any realistic alternative, except natural gas. Yes, there are many other options (as mentioned above). But, the largest most viable option is Natural Gas.
A large portion of electricity already comes from Natural Gas. As the economy grows and continues to expand, demand for electricity will continue to increase. Anybody remember "rolling blackouts?" As the economy continues to rely on technology, power plants will be pushed to maximum capacity. The vast majority of us will continue to purchase battery powered vehicles, and in a few short years, will be charging them in their own garage. Where will this energy come from? As demand begins to explode, the need for every aspect of the natural gas industy will grow exponentially. From exploration companies to traders, gains will be immense.
How do you get your piece of the pie? Although you can invest directly into natural gas futures, or commodity indexes (like UNG); we recommend choosing a few strong investments that are on the leading edge of production, as well as transportation. Purchasing the stock of a strong company with a balance sheet, revenues, and profits is just more stable than a single commodity that could rise or fall based on the needs of a few traders. Remember oil at $140 a barrell? If you want to be a trader, by all means go for it. Here we are not focusing on how to trade natural gas, but how to invest natural gas.
